Casa Choco-Late 2006-08 (House of Choco's heart-beat) Following the success of Niños PAZificos in 2005 and to give continuity to cultural education in the region, the Prince Claus Fund made a 25,000 euro award for a two-year arts education programme in Nuquí. Casa Choco-Late was born and a base for cultural development saw children having the opportunity to learn from village elders and experts from outside the region for the first time in the town's history. READ MORE In 2006 - 2008 three workshops were held each week day so that traditional cultural knowledge and skills could be passed on to younger generations. 300 children aged between five and sixteen attended classes in music, dance, drama and drumming every week. Each year the town was involved in two large-scale events organised through Casa Choco-Late to celebrate creativity and traditional music and dance. Following guidance, the community is now managing the project itself with the support of local groups.

Niños PAZificos 2005. Children and young people of African and indigenous descent were invited to participate in workshops about human rights, cultural identity and values along with body movement and other arts practices. Based on their real life stories and fantasies the participants, under the guidance of Diego and Fernando Arias, created a story-line for the film ORISA.
