In 2006 - 2008 three workshops were held each week day so that traditional cultural knowledge and skills could be passed on to younger generations.
300 children aged between five and sixteen attended classes in music, dance, drama and drumming every week. Each year the town was involved in two large-scale events organised through Casa Choco-Late to celebrate creativity and traditional music and dance.
Following guidance, the community is now managing the project itself with the support of local groups.
